Five Stars Service IPTV

Setting up IPTV on Roku isn’t as straightforward as installing a regular channel, but it’s still possible. Here’s how to do it:

Method 1: Using the M3U Playlist Player (Discontinued but Still Works for Some)

  1. Go to Roku’s Channel Store and search for M3U Playlist Player.
  2. If available, install the app and open it.
  3. Enter your M3U playlist URL (provided by your IPTV provider).
  4. Save the settings and restart the app to load channels.

Note: Roku removed many IPTV players from its store, so this method may not work for everyone.

Method 2: Screen Mirroring from Android or PC

If the M3U Playlist Player isn’t available, you can cast or mirror IPTV from another device.

For Android:

  1. Install an IPTV app (e.g., IPTV Smarters, TiviMate) on your phone.
  2. Enable Screen Mirroring on Roku:
    • Go to Settings > System > Screen Mirroring > Always Allow.
  3. On your Android device, go to Settings > Cast and select your Roku.
  4. Open the IPTV app and play a channel—it will stream to your TV.

For PC (Windows 10/11):

  1. Open Settings > Display > Connect to a Wireless Display.
  2. Select your Roku device.
  3. Launch an IPTV app or website and start streaming.

Method 3: Using IPTV Smarters via Roku Developer Mode

You can install IPTV Smarters on Roku using developer mode:

  1. Enable Developer Mode on Roku:
    • Press Home (x3) + Up (x2) + Right + Left + Right + Left + Right on your remote.
    • Note down the IP address shown on the screen.
  2. Open a browser on your PC and enter the IP address.
  3. Log in (Username: rokudev, Password: set during activation).
  4. Upload the IPTV Smarters package (downloaded from a trusted source).
  5. Restart Roku and open the app.

Final Thoughts

Since Roku doesn’t officially support third-party IPTV apps, the best way to use IPTV is via screen mirroring from an Android or Windows device. If you want a dedicated IPTV solution, consider alternatives like Firestick, Android TV, or Nvidia Shield.
